Xiaomi 13 Ultra: the top of the line with an SLR camera and AMOLED display

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is the Chinese company’s new top-of-the-line product that looks like a real war machine. The technical specifications speak for themselves: 6.7-inch AMOLED C7 display with 3,200 x 1,440 px (WQHD+) resolution, variable refresh rate from 1 Hz to 120 Hz, peak brightness of 2600 nits, 1300 nits in standard conditions, DC Dimming with PWM at 1920 Hz. Under the shell is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 mobile platform, which provides top-notch performance. Xiaomi then focused heavily on the device’s storage, offering up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage with File Base Optimization. Alternatively, you can opt for the 12GB/512GB or the 16GB/512GB version.

But what is most striking about the Xiaomi 13 Ultra are the quad cameras, which rank among the best on the market. The primary lens is a 1-inch Sony IMX989 with 50MP, 8P aspherical lens with HyperOIS stabilization on the sensor and variable aperture from ƒ/1.9 to ƒ/4.0. 1.6μm pixel, 3.2μm 4-in-1 Super Pixel. Added to this is a 50MP IMX 858 ultra wide-angle lens with f/1.8 aperture, equipped with autofocus and the ability to function as a macro lens. In addition, a 75mm lens and a 120mm periscope lens with f/3 aperture, equipped with image stabilization, offer up to 5x optical zoom. The periscope lens captures distant images with excellent quality and sharpness.

As for the battery, the device has a 5000mAh battery, with 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. Xiaomi 13 Ultra also features IP68 certification and an under-display fingerprint scanner, while the sensor to monitor heart rate is located directly on display.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra also features 5G (SA/NSA) connectivity, Dual SIM, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth 5.2, GPS, NFC, Infrared, and USB 3.2 Gen 1 port with DisplayPort video output in 4K at 60Hz and 5 Gbps transfer rate. Audio is stereo with Dolby Atmos for the ultimate multimedia experience.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is offered in black, olive green and white, with a leatherette finish. Currently, the device is only available in China, while a global launch is planned for 1,299 euros, but there is no information yet regarding the release date. Available memory variants include a 12GB/256GB, a 16GB/512GB and a 16GB/1TB version, with prices of 5999 yuan (€795), 6499 yuan (€861) and 7299 yuan (€967), respectively. In addition, the complete accessory kit can be purchased for 799 yuan (€105).
